Verizon Wireless wins Logility supply chain award

Logility Inc., a leading supplier of collaborative solutions to optimize the supply chain, today announced Verizon Wireless received the "Sailing to New Heights with Logility" award.

As Verizon Wireless experienced tremendous growth, especially in its Smartphone business, one of the challenges faced was managing imbalances within the supply chain driving inventory build-up across distribution points. The company identified the need to link retail store replenishment to the procurement plan to reduce safety stock, lower inventory levels, and reduce obsolescence while maintaining superior service levels.
