As the CEO and President of Beroe Inc, Vel Dhinagaravel has been the driving force behind the company's evolution from a start-up to a global enterprise with a robust team of over 500 professionals. Beroe, founded in 2005, is the culmination of an insightful study Vel conducted in 2003, involving Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) from fifty Fortune 1000 companies. The study revealed that the primary concerns of these CPOs were the lack of reliable market intelligence and the risks associated with suppliers and supply chains.
With a vision to address these critical issues, Vel established Beroe with the mission of being "The future of procurement intelligence." Under his leadership, Beroe has become a strategic partner to its clients, seamlessly integrating with their procurement functions to provide unparalleled intelligence and risk management solutions.
Before founding Beroe, Vel amassed extensive experience in procurement and supply chain consulting, working with over 30 Fortune 500 companies. His expertise and innovative approach have made him a sought-after speaker at major procurement and supply chain events, including ISM, ProcureCon, Procurement Leaders, EIPM, CIPS, SCIP, F4SS, LogiPharma, AME, and MAPI.
Vel's passions extend beyond procurement to include travel, architecture, and entrepreneurship. He admires Tom Enders, the CEO of Airbus, for his leadership and visionary approach. Vel is a family man, married with two children.
Vel's academic credentials are as impressive as his professional achievements. He holds an MSc (Hons) in Chemistry and a BE (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from BITS Pilani, and a Master's in Operations Research from North Carolina State University.
