NHS procurement exec moves to private sector; Blue Yonder’s Teschemacher takes on Kinaxis role

Job To: CEO, HealthTrust Europe

HealthTrust Europe is a procurement organisation and supply chain partner for healthcare providers. Welch will join as its new CEO in February 2024.

Welsh has around 20 years of experience in health and social care, and will be joining from Oxford University Foundation Trust, where he served as Director of Procurement and Supply Chain.

He began his career in engineering and production management, and joined the NHS in 2005 as part of the Supply Chain Excellence Programme. 

There, he worked closely on one of the first collaborative procurement hubs in the NHS, before holding a number of senior procurement roles across the health service. 

Welsh also led the procurement programme at The Shelford Group, a collaboration between ten of the largest teaching and research NHS hospital trusts in England.

Phillip Teschemacher

2. Phillip Teschemacher

Job From: Corporate VP, EMEA, Blue Yonder

Job To: President, APAC, Kinaxis

Teschemacher has worked in the supply chain industry for two decades, during which time he has held senior leadership roles, both at Blue Yonder, and also as Sales Director at SAP, where he led the digital supply chain and IoT sales team for the Nordic region.

Based in Ottawa, Canada, Kinaxis works with many of the largest global brands, including Carlsberg, Ford, Procter & Gamble, Schneider Electric, Qualcomm, Unilever.

“I look forward to ensuring Kinaxis’ unique AI-powered technologies continue to enable planners to predict outcomes with greater precision, speed, and elegance, no matter what the conditions are,” says Teschemacher.

Soufyan Mouaniss

3. Soufyan Mouaniss

Job From: GM, North and West Europe, Etihad Cargo.

Job To: Director, West Cargo Commercial, Etihad Cargo

I am delighted to take on this new challenge at such an exciting time for Etihad Cargo,” says Mouaniss. “As we launch new routes I look forward to working closely with partners and customers to ensure Etihad Cargo meets delivery promises and remains the air cargo partner of choice."

AJ Wilhoit

Job From: EVP, Enterprise Product & Technology, Flexport

Job To: Chief Product Officer, project 44 

Wilhoit joins supply chain visibility platform project44 from Flexport, the supply chain management and logistics company, where she directed the development of solutions to help customers optimise their end-to-end supply chain across their global partner network. 

Janice Kowell

5. Janice Kowell 

Job From: MD, North American Marine Engagement Leader, Marsh

Job To: Marine, Cargo & Logistics Practice Leader, US & Canada, Marsh.

Kowell has been promoted to her new role, having served almost 27 years with Marsh, the insurance broker and risk advisor. In her new role Kowell deliver transactional and advisory services to maritime, cargo and logistics clients across the US and Canada.

Craig Williamson

6. Craig Williamson

Job From: Senior Director, North West & Scotland, Linde MH UK

Job To: MD, Linde MH UK

Linde, the global industrial gases and engineering multinational, has appointed Williamson as MD, promoting him from Senior UK Director, Northwest and Scotland. “My priority is to work in collaboration with our customers and invest in our colleagues and infrastructure to grow our business and make Linde a great place to work,” says Williamson.
