Job To: CFO, Daimler Truck

“Sustainable transportation is a topic that has been close to my heart for a long time”

On April 1, Siemens AG veteran Eva Scherer will begin at Daimler Truck as CFO, and as a member of the board of management. Scherer will be the multibillion-dollar German vehicle manufacturer Daimler Truck's first female CFO. The company produces buses and trucks under brands such as Mercedes-Benz. 

Scherer succeeds former CFO Jochen Goetz, who died unexpectedly in August 2023. Chairman Martin Daum is currently serving as interim CFO.

When the CFO position became vacant, the board embarked on an “intensive” selection process, Joe Kaeser, Chairman of Daimler Truck’s Supervisory Board, said in a statement. “We placed emphasis on open-mindedness, diversity, potential and enthusiasm to drive change,” he said. “Eva Scherer has shown these attributes in a convincing manner.”

“Sustainable transportation is a topic that has been close to my heart for a long time and I will soon contribute to this topic in a new capacity,” Scherer wrote in a LinkedIn post about joining Daimler Truck.

Job To: CVEO, Kinaxia Logistics

Michael Conroy, a former CEO of Palletforce, has been appointed as CEO of Kinaxia Logistics, succeeding Simon Hobbs who left after four years in the role.

Conroy has been recruited to spearhead the next phase of development for Kinaxia,

a top 15 UK logistics business with annual turnover of more than £220m.

“Kinaxia has a unique customer proposition, being a fully-owned national logistics network, with services delivered directly to customers by our local experts,” Conroy Said.

Job From: Head of Procurement Americas Region, HSBC

Job To: Director of Operations, Procurement, 3M

VanDusen says of herself: “I am dedicated to process improvements in procurement, and have a track record of turning around procurement functions while leading large international teams.” She moved from HSBC, prior to which she was at FMC, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Greatbatch Medical.

4. Stefano Scandelli

Job From: Relex Solutions SVP, EMEA & APAC

Job To: Relex Solutions, Head, Consumer Goods & Production Business Unit

Supply chain optimisation firm RELEX Solutions has appointed Stefano Scandelli as the head of its new Consumer Goods & Production business unit. RELEX created the unit after acquiring Optimity, and will continue to support Optimity’s planning, optimisation and production scheduling capabilities. Scandelli will continue in his role as SVP, EMEA & APAC
