Oracle has announced a series of new innovations to its Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM) Cloud, enabling organisation to reduce costs and stay ahead of changing customer demands.

The company announced in a statement this week that updates to its Oracle SCM Cloud solution will connect customer service and field technicians to better align orders and invoicing with projects and/or organisations, improving the “orchestration of vendor managed inventory.”

Organisations of all sizes currently leverage the Oracle SCM and gain access to latest innovations in artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things across their supplier networks to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimise risk.

In it’s latest update, Oracle SCM Cloud provides field service logistics to allow organisations to quickly resolve customer issues, project driven supply chain capabilities to facilitate accurate and timely billing through automated tracking of project attributes and related costs and greater supply chain collaboration, in which vendor-managed inventory assists with replenishment and ensure accurate and efficient engagement by allowing users to securely share on-hand quantities with selected suppliers.

"Organisations need an efficient and responsive supply chain to stay ahead of constantly changing expectations and that requires trust, transparency and open lines of communication across the entire value chain," said Jon Chorley, chief sustainability officer and group vice president, supply chain management, Oracle. "The new innovations within Oracle SCM Cloud help customers generate more value from their investment, build adaptable organisations, and lay the foundation for the coming era of blockchain-enabled supply chain transparency."
